May 15th, 1944

Mid May 1944 you get transferred from the East front to the West front and lead the high-altitude sqn. of the I. Gruppe/ Jagdgeschwader 2 (4./JG2) in occupied France.

Already a top of the list pilot on the East front your reputation preceeds you. But you are received with a certain amount of scepticism! Different rules apply to the West front! While the Luftwaffe had the advantage of well-trained and experienced pilots on the East front, you are facing equally well-trained enemy pilots on the West front. While "the Rusky" sends pilots with ten to twenty hours of flight experience to the front, you are dealing with pilots on the West front who can boast at least 500-600 hours of flight experiece! There's grade A maintenance on the Anglo-American Mustangs, Thunderbolts, and Spitfires and the pilots can fly their planes in their sleep!

Things look quite different for the Luftwaffe on the western front! The famous Jagdgeschwader 26 "Schlageter" and 2 "Richthofen" are stationed at the English Channel. They are equipped with 184 fighter planes per squadron. Each squadron is divided into four groups, which in turn are divided into four squadrons each. Each squadron is made up of 12 fighter planes and 12 pilots. 3 squadrons are equipped with the Focke Wulf 190 A6 and A8, while every fourth squadrons is equipped with the ME 109 G6/ AS or ME 109 G14. These additional fourth squadrons were due to the fact that the Bf 109 showed much better performance in higher altitudes than the FW 190. So theoretically the Germans had 368 fighters available to them from Amsterdam to Brest.

British Fighter Campaign:
Battle over Normandy with 50 Missions

June 20th, 1944

You are one of the first British fighter pilots to set foot on French soil as you get transferred to an improvised base near Caen.

The Germans are almost defeated and you are going to tame the remains of the Luftwaffe. Your unit is equipped with the Spitfire IX c, an excellent fighter plane. Legend has it that the Spitfire is quite superior to the Messerschmitt in dogfights. Well, forget that myth, because it's not based on facts. German experts will fly turns in their Messerschmitts just as fast as you will in your Spitfire ...

American Fighter Campaign:
Battle over Normandy with 90 Missions

June 10th, 1944

Once the invasion beaches appear moderately safe, the first American Airforce bases are installed. Soon the first Mustang Fighter Groups are right on the doorstep of the German's fighters bases. You are going to turn up the heat a little for those belligerent Teutons and paralyze them with your superior force... but caution, young friend! A Messerschmitt is an opponent you shouldn't underestimate!

And a Focke Wulf 190 sneaking up on you from behind can shoot you to the pearly gates with a short volley in no time! In general, though, you will defeat your opponent due to your superior strength! Still you shouldn't take this task too lightly! The enemy may be at a disadvantage, but they'll still be a tough opponent to master...

Soviet Fighter Campaign:
The Red Hawks of the 88th GvIAP From Smolensk to Berlin. The Sequel to "Operation Fall Blau" Campaign with 120 Missions

April 1944

The Eastern front is still in the middle of the muddy season. Most of the airfields are water-logged, therefore missions are scarce. You are convinced that you will soon rid your homeland of the German invaders. An experienced fighter pilot, who had been engaging the enemy since the beginning of the German invasion, (check "Operation Fall Blau" by X1 Software, www.x1software.com) you are eager to get one over the enemy whenever you can. Jagdgeschwader 51 and 3 are active in your battle section and pose areal threat.

Some Stuka and Bomber groups keep regarding the deploying Soviet units as a worthy target, but as a good Communist, you manage to thwart off many of those attacks, and one day Comrade Stalin presents you with a Lenin statue. Full of pride and faith in the just cause you participate in the aerial battles during operation "Bagration", the dismantling of the German Heeresgruppe Mitte. After the end of this giant operation you are celebrated with due respect. Upon Stalin's order the PdSU has you and your crew celebrated as "Soviet Heroes" and thus you travel all across Russia for propaganda purposes. This comfortable part of you career ends November 1944. Every experienced pilot is now thrown to the front. In the meantime the Red Army has advanced quite far. The Wehrmacht's backbone(Heeresgruppe Mitte)has been forced back to the Weichsel by the Red Army and the northern Formations ( Heeresgruppe Nord) have been cut off inKurland.
